But this is for the TYPO3 7.x branch?

WHen  force to install it on TYPO3 6.2.x, I get a fatal error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method 
TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::registerPageTSConfigFile() 
in /usr/www/users/public_html/typo3conf/ext/linkhandler/ext_tables.php 
on line 7
