[TYPO3-english] TYPO3 CMS, multiple app servers and load balancing

Hi,

who runs TYPO3 websites on multiple application servers behind a load
balancer, which distributes the requests across the instances?

Which challenges did you encounter (and had to solve)? Writing/reading
temporary files? Sessions? Shared database server?

This is more a general question to exchange experiences rather than a
specific problem I've got :-)
