Ah ... the concern was only about the manual creation / upload of a preview image or placeholder image. (It is currently not possible to cleanly add an image-item without actually upload an image file).
It would be much nicer to add a youtube resource which then captures the preview image by itself.

But this would be a much greater effort! :)
