[TYPO3-english] Looking for Tutorial for own compatibility extension

Hi Christian,

while I fully understand frustration to a certain degree, I cannot understand why you start complaining about entirely unrelated stuff.

First off, it would be the best idea to tell your actual problem first, maybe there is even a solution you're just not aware of yet?

If I understood you correctly, you need XHTML compliant output and you bother about the link-tags for CSS inclusion missing the trailing slash.
Actually the Core code (without any compatibility extension) takes care of that.

May I ask what your configuration is for config.xhtmlDoctype ?
http://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/TyposcriptReference/Setup/Config/Index.html#xhtmldoctype

Kind regards
Markus
