[TYPO3-english] extension not working?

I just installed typo3 today. im very new to it. I installed it because of the many extensions it has, i thought this would make it easier to build my site. unfortunately some of these extensions dont seem to be working. Ive installed ke_stats , file_explorer and rlmp_extensiondocs.
These backend extensions dont seem to be working.
is it because of the version?
