[TYPO3-english] How to create overlay icons?

Hello,

I want to define a new overlay icon for pages. It works with this code:

But the overlay icon just works in page tree and page path (upper right corner). In list view no overlay icon appears.

I'm also not sure if my implementation is the right way. I had to !important my css to tell TYPO3 not to use the sprite image, which is kind of dirty. I hope you have got some better way of implementation for me.
