[TYPO3-english] Text with pictures

Hello,

I've a very basic question.
We're travelling and keeping a website about our travels.
We've a gallery and all the pictures are shown as little pictures and enlarge when you click on them, I would like to add a little sentence to each picture, but I want it to only show when it's enlarged.

How do I do that?

Also, is there somewhere a very basic manual?
As we're travelling our website is not very advanced....
