[TYPO3-english] validation for flexform fields

I'm looking for a simple validation of flexform fields:
editors should only be able to insert data which matches the regexp: 
[a-z0-9_](-?[a-z0-9_])*

currently I use ext:flux and found in the documentation [1]:

validate | FlexForm-type validation configuration for this input

but how can I enter something meaningful?
