Actually no.

website/typo3_src -> typo3_core -> typo3_6.2.3

so after update I just need to update the second link, so typo3_core -> 
typo3_6.2.4

Nope, I've never had to delete typo3conf/temp. Certainly not after minor 
version upgrade.
