[TYPO3-english] moved a 10 years old TYPO3 3.5 to 6.1

No problem at all but you need to check the installed extebsions. we needed to remove lz gallery and this stuff and replace it with still maintained galleries. I think lz was no more maintained since 3.6 ;-(

Another problem might occure if you have still mootools extensions in your site which were written years ago and since no more maintained. 

deinstall the extensions which ate conflicting. Update to 6.1 KEEP the tables and data from the extensions than reinstall them step by step and either fix them - check the deprecation log if the deprecationlog itself is not blocking your site with "" errors methode not found. If this is the case set deprecation log to 0 or empty. and clear cache. Than check your error logs instead - activate logging i.e.

now fix the errors or to make it more future proof replace it with state of the art and still maintained extensions. in many cases it is easy to import the old data via db into the new tables.
