They must not, really they don't!
tt_news does most of the configuration of links inside the plugin 
itself. If there is no suitable option in the manual for the 
configuration of links then it's not possible to change the links like 
you want.
Furthermore, your question is the equivalent of asking how to shoot 
yourself in the foot. As I've already tried to explain, adding 
no_cache=1 disables the caching mechanism and you really don't want to 
do that. Really, I'm serious.

I don't know what the problem is, but this isn't the solution for any 
problem.
