[TYPO3-english] Link in menu to ext. url open as page

Hi list,

I have a page in the menu with page type as external url which is set 
to open downloadpdf.php. When I click that link it don't open 
downloadpdf.php but open as a normal page but with no content of course.
If I clear cache, I can download again, but only a few times, then it 
opens as a normal page.
What can I do or what do I do wrong?
