[TYPO3-english] Change english labels in a backend sysext

Hello,

I want to change an english label in the "version" system-extension .
The label is in
version/Resources/Private/Language/locallang_emails.xml.

I do not want to touch that file, because it's core file, and don't
want to loose that change in future TYPO3 updates.

If that was a translation, that wouldn't be a problem, but for english
(the default language), how to overload the locallang xml config ?

PS : as this is a BE extension, we cannot use TS ...
