[TYPO3-english] powermail does not send mail because of exception of extbase core

Hello,

I have some important information for this issue through PHP bugtracker:

So the bug is, that PHP 5.3.16 throws the error while getDefaultValue is 
getting called.

Is there a possibility using extbase without this functionality? I am 
currently bended in my managed server package to this PHP version...
