[TYPO3-english] Own Marker Cal Base

Hi,

i defined a new marker for frontendediting in cal base. How do i commit 
the value of that new frontend field to the database?

All i could read in the documentation is:

"all you need to do is to add a marker in to the corresponding model file"

I have the databasefield, the html renderiing of the field - whtas 
missing is the process of inserting that value in the db.

As far as possible i would prefer a typoscript setting, to keep the core 
of cal untouched.
