Thx., I'll probably go with 2. but it has its downsides too. If something is 
wrong with DB all sites are down..

Hi,

there basicly two ways of having 2 sites:

1. an extra database for every site
2. a multisite database, where one TYPO3 servs two or more sites
-> domain records
-> same be users / groups possible for both sites ;)
