I think that register extension is pretty outdated.

The language handling was changed in 4.6, so this extension might just use 
the API in a wrong way.

Please make sure that you have the lastest version of the extension and the 
latest bugfix release of your TYPO3 minor version.

Maybe you should replace your user registration extension with one that is a 
little more up to date like:
