Hi J. Bakshi,

I am using IM since 8 years, converting pictures to jpg and
menu items and headers and headlines to gif files.

I was working with imagemagick-4.2.9 up the last current
version from SUSE 7 to SUSE 12.1 environment - very successfull.

So try to check and state more precisely the configuration
with gifbuilder within TYPO3.

So now as you know, it should work, you do not need
to look to the image magick modules on your server -
if your version is converting at least one picture to jpg.
And this you may check with the install tool.
