Not so easy to answer. It highly depends on the CPU power, which you get
by your hoster.

You could also ask for a MySQL slow-query log to see, whether this is
the bottle-neck. And check, whether you have extensions installed that
disable TYPO3's caches.

But in general: with the information you provided, it is nearly
impossible two answer.
Try a copy of the site on your development server and see, whether it's
also slow. If it's fast, switch your hoster.
