Support for MySQL 5.0 was dropped because all OS distributions which 
come with PHP 5.3 also have MySQL 5.1 or higher (at least we couldn't 
find any that has PHP 5.3 and MySQL < 5.1).

TYPO3 6.0 will probably work with MySQL 5.0, but if you find a problem 
which does not occur with MySQL 5.1 or higher it is very unlikely that 
it will be fixed in TYPO3 6.0.x
