[TYPO3-english] tip-a-friend [ error malformed or missing url detected ]

Dear list,

This is typo3 4.6.7 with tipafriend 1.2.4
At frontend tipafriend is giving an error as

error malformed or missing url detected 

`  `   `   `   `

Some very old posts (year 2006/7) can be found through google,
where users got success by downgrading it to 1.2.1 and that's
with typo3 4.1-beta. Is there any solution exist for 4.6.7 and
with tipafriend 1.2.4 ?
