I could try something like this.

DOMAIN.1 (master)
     TYPO3 installation index.php symlinking normal way to core files

DOMAIN.2
     index.php symlink to ./domain.1/index.php

DOMAIN.3
     index.php symlink to ./domain.1/index.php

and so on. Could this work?
