[TYPO3-english] Crawler & staticpub not cooperating

I have still not been able to get this to work manually or via cron.

When I look at Crawling processes I see:

Pending Entries (assigned / overall): 	0 / 99
Current server time: 	04-05-11 11:11:57
Processes count (running / max) 	0 / 1

When I go to: Info | Site Crawler | Start Crawling
and elect the configuration
[Update] properly produces the list of pages and languages to crawl

When individually processing pages, each generates a 301 moved 
permanently error.

Any hints would be helpful.
