[TYPO3-english] sys_language_softMergeIfNotBlank usage

Hello,

I am trying to set up a site with three languages where the images of 
the default language are used.

I tried to use sys_language_softMergeIfNotBlank = tt_content:image
But every time I make a localization copy of a CE the image field gets 
filled with the same images as the default langaue CE. So the new 
language page either shows all images (both default and new language 
images) or only those images specified in the new language.

I want to show only the default language images.

How do I do this? How do I prevent the image field of the localized copy 
to be filled with the default images? Am I missing some other setting?
