[TYPO3-english] powermail: Typoscript configuration is ignored?

Hi

I really need some help.

I created a form with powermail and everything works great except for
the typoscript configuration.

According to the manual I can configure the form fields using
typoscript.

However nothing happens when I try to do so.

Here is my snippet:

plugin.tx_powermail_pi1 {

validate.uid80.expression = /^word$/
validate.uid80.errormsg = Please enter 'word'

}

This is inserted in a TS template on the same page as the form.

As I said absolutely nothing happens.

Any suggestions?
