[TYPO3-english] a simple question

Dear all,

I'm new to Typo3 so sorry if I'm asking a silly question.

I installed the introduction package and worked with it (lets call it
installation A). then I installed a fresh copy typo3 from the blank package
(lets call it installation B).
I see some differences between my 2 installations. for example, when I want
to create a new content in the installation A, I see a list of content types
categorized by tabs. but in package B I don't see those tabs; all content
types are listed on a single page.

Also, when I click on an image (enlarge enabled) on installation A, the
image gets enlarge in a nice way using some AJAX codes I believe. But when I
do the same thing on installation B, the image simply opens on a new page.

Can anyone guide me to understand the reason? shall I install an extension?
