[TYPO3-english] Indexed Search - Tutorial? Example? Tip?

I was recently asked if it might be possible to have a search facility on
http://presbyteryofglasgow.org.uk/info/   As the website ( based on a
WebEmpoweredChurch TYPO3 starter package ) already has a search box at the
top right of the page, the facility seemed to  be already there.  However,
nothing is returned by any of the searches!   I have tried a few stable
search extensions but did not succeed with any.  I was wondering if someone
could point me to a good tutorial on how to get this to work.  The pid of my
Search page is 33.   If this question is not appropriate please forgive me.
This is something that I do as a hobby, so any help would be greatly
appreciated.
