Hi Andreas.
I'm sorry, in effect my slides are not a reference manual, they're just
a presentation of Direct Mail features.
Anyway, our experience is that to configure and run Direct Mail it's
enought to use the Direct Mail manual.
I don't know of an updated tutorial about Direct Mail.
There is a very old one made by Marlies Cohen available here:
http://www.mcuniverse.com/archive/Direct-Mail-Tutorial.593.0.html
Consider that We're using using olders versions of Typo3 and Direct Mail:
- Linux server
- Typo3 4.3
- Direct Mail 2.6.7
- Templavoila 1.4.2 (we didn't Enable the classic Page module)
- sr_feuser_register 2.5.25
- static info tables 2.1.2
With this configuration we have never had a problem similar to the one
you are describing.
Just an hint:
in the past, I remember some problem related to fetching of content by
Direct Mail.
If I well remeber, after a while I discovered that the problem was that
the domain I used to log (let's say: www.backenddomain.com) in the back
end was not the one used on the configuration of Direct Mail (let's say
www.newsletterdomai.com). The effect was that Direct Mail tried to fetch
the page content from
www.backenddomain.com/index.php?id=33 insted of
www.newsletterdomai.com/index.php?id=33 and generated an error.
Could it be a similar problem in your installation?
Hope this help.
Regards
Rino
