[TYPO3-english] PLEASE HELP - IMAGEMAGICK NOT FOUND

You can say that again :-)

Anyway, this is the rest of the conversation which should be very helpfull:

Derik:Could you please tell me if I can use a file called php.ini to
adjust the php settings like memory as well please.

LiveHelp:yes you can use php.ini

LiveHelp:I have copied one copy of php.ini inside of your account in
public_html folder

Derik:great and thank you...

LiveHelp:welcoem

Derik:just to make sure again, because there is definitely some functions
Typo3 need enabled to work correctly...

LiveHelp:yes they all are enabled

Derik:all of it? In my backend in the install section I get the
following message: Functions disabled! disable_functions=dl, exec,
system, passthru, popen, pclose, proc_open, proc_nice, proc_terminate,
proc_get_status, proc_close, pfsockopen, leak, apache_child_terminate,
posix_kill, posix_mkfifo, posix_setpgid, posix_setsid, posix_setuid,
system, symlink, symlink , The above list of functions are disabled. If
TYPO3 use any of these there might be trouble. TYPO3 is designed to use
the default set of PHP4.3.0+ functions plus the functions of GDLib.
Possibly these functions are disabled due to security risks and most
likely the list would include a function like exec() which is use by
TYPO3 to access ImageMagick.

Derik:several typo3 guys told me that if I don't have most of these
functions enable, typo3 will not work as it should...

Derik:can you confirm that ALL of these functions are enabled, if not,
can you enable it...

Derik:if not...what is my options?

LiveHelp:TYPO3 is designed to use the default set of PHP4.3.0+ functions

LiveHelp:but on the server php version is not PHP4.3.0+

LiveHelp:its 5.3.6'

Derik:I don't see that as a problem as it is anything higher than 4.3.0+
is it not?

LiveHelp:you are right

LiveHelp:I have confirmed all other things and which are correct

Derik:Ok to make sure, so all the following: disable_functions=dl, exec,
system, passthru, popen, pclose, proc_open, proc_nice, proc_terminate,
proc_get_status, proc_close, pfsockopen, leak, apache_child_terminate,
posix_kill, posix_mkfifo, posix_setpgid, posix_setsid, posix_setuid,
system, symlink, symlink ...

Derik:Are ALL enabled on the server?

Derik:now I mean?

LiveHelp:yes

Now I've cleared my cache and refreshed the page but still get the same
message. Is there anything I can/should do to get Typo3 to recognise
the functions to be enabled as confirmed (hopefully) by my host?

Derik
