[TYPO3-english] Pipe in Pagetitle in TMENU

Hi

a Page has a Pipe in it's Title: "blabla | your blabla".
(That is the page Title filled in in the BE - not created by TS)

No matter if "NO.stdWrap.htmlSpecialChars" is set or not, the pipe will 
break up the TMENU rendering.

If I set "htmlSpecialChars = 0" the pipe can be replaced by "|" - 
but that looks quite ugly in the Backend, and I read that 
"htmlSpecialChars" had better be on.

Is there another way to encode the pipe?
