The databases are on the same server. And the common (same) user can 
access both databases.

The configuration in Magento | System | Configuration | TYPO3 Connector
is correct.

Regarding the Access Denied, error. In this case I used the same 
credentials for both databases, and TYPOP3 and Magento are otherwise 
working normally.
