[TYPO3-english] How to display the comments count for a page in its link?

Hello,
I would like to display the number of comments on a given page in its
link. More specifically, I would like to get something like

<a href="internal_page_URL">Title (number_of_comments)</a>

Is there some hook I can add to the "link" tag that would allow me do that, like
<link 1120 - internal-link "Opens internal link in current
window">Title (##COMMENT_COUNT##)</link>
