welcome to the list. You can ask your questions here. A good source for 
knowledge on TypoScript is the TSRef: 
http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/references/doc_core_tsref/4.3.1/view/ 
and the wiki http://wiki.typo3.org/TSref/stdWrap

If you are a PHP Programmer it might also help you to look at the source 
code. Expecially TypoScript "functions" like "stdWrap" and "if" can be 
much easier to understand then. You find them in
typo3/sysext/cms/tslib/class.tslib_content.php

Would you mind to consider using a smaller e-mail footer or none at all? 
This helps reducing the size of the mails.
