[TYPO3-english] Linkhandler & v4.4.*

Hi Henjo,

I can only say that I have linkhandler working as advertised with 4.4.2/4.4.4.

My advise is only the obvious: is linkhandler installed? Are the tables 
configured in TCA (and the relevant extensions installed)? There is not more 
configuration than what you already mentioned.

The only thing I noticed is that settings I set in the root page don't work for 
link fields in the page properties of that root page (which is a little annoying 
because you can't go up another level for the settings).
