[TYPO3-english] Patching rtehtmlarea

Hi,

 

I'm having the problem with rtehtmlarea described and fixed at
http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=11009, where links are being prefixed with
'http://typo3'.

 

However, I'm not sure how to apply a patch. Do I need to manually make the
changes described in the patch file, or simply copy
rtehtmlarea_bugfix_11009_follow_up_trunk.patch
<http://bugs.typo3.org/file_download.php?file_id=7781&type=bug>  into the
extension directory?

 

I'm using:

TYPO3 Ver. 4.2.6

RTE 1.7.9

 

Also, is there a later version of the RTE with this fix that I can install
in this version of Typo3 instead of patching this version? The latest
version I can find when I Google it is 1.4.4, released in 2007.
