[TYPO3-english] updating extensions list - 0 extension entries

I'm no longer able to update my extensions list in the 

Ext Manager -> Import extensions.

when I Retrieve/Update I get the following message:
Extension list updated
The extensions list has been updated and now contains 0 extension entries.

Is there a new set up or something I need to be aware of so that I will download the list?
