[TYPO3-english] BE page tree is hidden

OK
I reset the user settings but no luck.
I can't find the "little black arrow just above the vertical center"

Start with 2 panes
1. BE Typo3 Menu on the left
2. "brief description of the available modules" in the right pane

Click on View option - the Typo3 Menu is not displayed
1. left pane is blank
2. right pane displays the web page
