[TYPO3-english] records archive

Hi all,

I have records in sysfolder. Actually records are events. So after event 
occurs it has to be moved to archive. I'm thinking about creating a 
subfolder for that sysfolder and move those records there.
Is there standard way in typo3 to do that? Or I just need to create 
custom php file and execute it with cron?
Maybe there is completely different way to do this archiving?
