[TYPO3-english] BE admin user problem after upgrade 4.2 -> 4.3/4.4

Hi,

some time ago I tried to upgrade our typo3 4.2 site to 4.3. The
testinstallation workend find, all content was unchanged, no extension
problems.

The new/test server uses new php, mysql and httpd versions.

But my main admin user was not allowed to login to the BE anymore. I did
a research and tried a lot of hints from this mailinglist - without any
success :(

I do have some other admin useres which still can login ...

Also I was not able set up a new admin user - the user was created and
the information written to the database, but he could not log in to the BE.

Now I tried the upgrade from 4.2.x to the currrent 4.4.1 version and it
is the same.

Any hint or suggestion or help is welcome!
