[TYPO3-english] Count Macina banners impressions not correct ???

Hello list,

On one of our websites we use the macina_banners extension for 
displaying and counting banners. Google analytics is used for website 
statistics.

Recently, I got an email from our client saying that the banner 
impressions didn't match the GA pageviews by a long shot.
In the exact same period, GA measured 52.000 pageviews across the whole 
website, and macina_banners measured about 100.000 impressions for a 
banner which wasn't even listed on each page.

That leaves me guessing about why the difference in impressions is so 
big. I've come up with some explanations, but don't know the actual 
cause. That's why I'm asking you guys for your opinion.

I've come up with the following, but I can't imagine that they would 
cause such a big difference:
* Search engines are excluded in GA but not in macina_banners
* JavaScript is disabled -> analytics doesn't work but macina_banners does
*...

I hope someone can give suggestions because the impressions of the 
banner are used to calculate the advertisement fee.
