Hello,
We have just upgraded to typo3 4.3.1 and have this problem.
I have to check the fourth option in access delete pages to allow someone to
move pages out of their parent page.

Hi Stephen,
This problem exists only in typo3 versions < 4.3. Inorder to
provide move page option for BE usergroups in (< 4.3), you have to set the
Delete page option for usergroups. This can be achieved by clicking Access
option in Web from first column and root page from second column. Then the
third column will list root and subpages with various options, if you select
Permissions from first drop down and select max levels in Depth option.
Click on pencil icon of root page, select your group and set all permissions
for Group and select set recursively max levels and finally save. But IMHO,
its not advisable to set delete page permission for BE usergroup. As an
alternative, you can use the cut&paste option. Select the cut option by
clicking in needed page and then select paste into or paste after option on
transfer page area.
Regards,
Aravind

Subject: [TYPO3-english] Allow a backend user permission to move a page
I have a problem with backend groups. How do you allow usergroups/users to
move pages?
User seem to be able to move pages as long as they move them after a page
with the same parent page, but they try and move a page so that it's parent
page is different TYPO3 just shows an error message.
An example:
Home
- Page 1
- Page 2
- Page 3
--- Page 3.1
--- Page 3.2
--- Page 3.3
--- Page 3.4
Page 3.1 - 3.4 can be moved as long as they stay as subpages to Page 3. It
is not possible for my backend usergroup to move, for example, Page 3.2
above Page 1 or into Page 2. This causes an error.
What do I have to do to my user group settings to be able to allow this kind
of page move?
Stephen.
