[TYPO3-english] Mail forms access (setting expiration)

Thank you for your help. Thought I would report, if not just to say thanks
(sorry for not avoiding small talk), that it was indeed an extension, one
installed a while back by VH to fix a forms problem we were having that
apparently didn't play nice with the recent update.

This leaves you with 3 options:

1) There is an extension that removed the stuff completely
2) There are some settings in TSconfig that did the same
3) Something is broken and you have to reinstall

To check whether it's 1) you might want to take a look at
Admin Tools-> configuration ->
$TCA['tt_content']['types']['mailform']['showitem']
first. It should be something like:

$TCA['tt_content']['types']['mailform']['showitem'] =
'CType;;4;;1-1-1, hidden, header;;3;;2-2-2,
linkToTop;;;;3-3-3,--div--;LLL:EXT:cms/locallang_ttc.xml:CType.I.8,
bodytext;LLL:EXT:cms/locallang_ttc.php:bodytext.ALT.mailform;;nowrap:wizards
[forms];3-3-3,pages;LLL:EXT:cms/locallang_ttc.php:pages.ALT.mailform,subhead
er;LLL:EXT:cms/locallang_ttc.php:subheader.ALT.mailform,--div--;LLL:EXT:cms/
locallang_tca.xml:pages.tabs.access, starttime, endtime';

if this is correct and still no tabs showing up you could uninstall
extensions one by one and check if they got any influence.
to check whether it's 2) you must look at the TSconfig settings of your
user, any group he belongs to _and_ the pages of the branch containing your
mailform.
