Hi,

you could try to create a diff of this revision and applying it to 4.2 [1]  
(use svn diff to do so).
But I don't think that the patch directly applies.

If your site is not critical (e.g. private/non-commercial), maybe you want  
to take the risk and use trunk (or really wait till ~monday).
