Hi Dmitry,
Somehow I hadn't expected you to be the kind of guy to enter a pissing contest. An almost continuous lack of appreciation and credit is part of contributing to a product/community voluntarily. Years ago as a college student I spent a lot of my free time writing and editing documentation and designing marketing materials for another OSS project. That's when I learned that doing the work doesn't automatically gain you any credits or appreciation whatsoever. Right now I have a much more busy life and a lot less time for free contributions but I do some odd jobs for the TYPO3 community like writing and translating some documentation and the occasional session at local events here in NL. Personally I don't care who appreciates me for that or, more importantly, who doesn't. I do my small share of work because I see a need for it and I suck at being a capitalist. I appreciate your contributions Dmitry. They are indeed valuable. I just hope you don't lose too much sleep over people who scoff at your work. IMHO it's simply not worth the energy.
Keep up the good work!
Bas

To be precise: over 30 extensions (some passed to other people already), lots of code in the core, free e-books, doc updates, wiki updates, translation server support, various teams, lots of free help in the blog and in mailing lists.
What's on your side? :) Just curious...
