Hello !
A customer of mine, reported me, that whenever he tries to copy a
complete branch of his site-tree, references in the content elements,
like the "Header Link" or the "Image Link" and also links in the RTE do
not get correctly modified.
So if you have a structure:
Page A
|-- Page B (Text CE with RTE on this page having link to page C)
|-- Page C
And copy the whole tree, the link in the RTE of the content element on
Page B won't link to Page C of the copied structure, but rather to the
old tree which got copied.
Can someone confirm this?
I read through the archives, and people quite ofte ask how to enable
"Recursive copy" (in the user setup module). But it seems not many
people had problems with links in content elements not being processed
properly.
Of course it could be in the intention of the admin to leave them as
they are even when copied. But if not one has to manually change them.
I created an extension fixing this "problem". So if you have to copy a
large tree containg a lot of those "softreferences" you could give this
extension a try:
