Hello !

The question would be, how and when the mail is generated, containing
the wrong link.

I can't tell you the exact problem, but the script sending those
"infomail"'s after subscribing, and or requesting the subscription info
(by typing in the email address you used to subscribe) is located in:

SITE_ROOT/typo3/sysext/cms/tslib/media/script/fe_adminLib.php

This is some kind of "dinosaur" of TYPO3. But in my opinion it is a very
good script for handling subscription of direct_mail recipients and/or
fe_users (I never use sr_feuserregister or similar)
