[TYPO3-english] Problem with database connection

Hi

With phpmyadmin can be this problem

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['connect_type']   = 'tcp';       // How to connect 
to MySQL server ('tcp' or 'socket')

My boss assumed that Typo3 can't connect to database because on 
incorrect connection type.

I didn't find this configuration in Typo3 - what file could be hacked to 
get connection to work?
