[TYPO3-english] can't resize images using width - (height is fine)

Within the content manager using Text w/image I am attempting to
resize an image using the "width(pixels)" field. For some reason,
after saving the field empties back to null and the photo is not
resized. Height - right beside it works fine.

I am wondering how I would chase this down.

All image processes work fine under the test in the install section.
