I'd like to recommend taking a look at log_analyzer and  
difference_viewer.

You can setup a daily cronjob to email members of a backend usergroup  
changes of the prior day within TYPO3. Furthermore, the spreadsheet  
and backend view links take you to a difference viewer page so you can  
actually see what changed.

Very handy for a manager with many authors.
