[TYPO3-english] Typoscript: override part of current?

Hi list,

In a piece of TS I set ....typolink.parameter.current = 1, but I want to
force parameter.extTarget = _blank.

I tried various constructions with and without override, but none of them
did the trick. The link itself works flawlessly, it only doesn't open in a
new window.
The odd part is that the urls inserted by current contain no target part.

Any pointers in the right direction?
